This work deals with trailing edge noise, with turbulence scattered by a poroelastic plate. We use a boundary element method that couples the acoustic problem with the fluid-structure interaction, taking into account structural damping of viscoelastic materials. Critical damping coefficients, optimal for noise reduction, are obtained. Their relevance for aeronautical applications is discussed.
