MITIGATING RISK OF PRODUCIBILITY FAILURES IN PLATFORM CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

In this paper, a variety of manufacturing processes are systematically explored to meet an adaptable aeroengine sub-system design. The aim is to deliver support to the welding method selection process by enabling a more systematic exploration and analysis of the integrated space formed by the alternative combinations of product designs and manufacturing methods. The proposed support is evaluated in an industrial case study.rn
