NEW METHOD OF TRANSONIC BUFFET DECREASING ON SUPERCRITICAL AIRFOIL

Standard and optical experimental studies of a buffet onset phenomenon on a model of a supercritical airfoil at transonic speeds are presented. It is shown that application of the proposed passive method of flow control by making use of jet vortex generator leads to delaying of buffet onset and decreasing of buffet phenomenon.
