Effects of stitching in composite skin-doubler specimens is treated. Focus is placed on the effect on doubler disbonding behaviour by selective stitching. An analytical model is followed by a finite element model, discretizing the laminates of skin and doubler, as well as of the stitch yarn, with validation against tests.
