This paper describes the findings of a significant numerical and experimental research programme centred on the aerodynamics of wings and projectiles in ground effect at mid-subsonic to fully supersonic Mach numbers. Complex shock structures and sensitive aerodynamic coefficients highlighted interesting effects resulting from shock/ground interactions and reflections.
