Accurate predictions of reductions in airspace capacity due to weather are needed to make effective TFM decisions. This paper discusses advantages and disadvantages of three methodologies MITRE/CAASD has been developing, which translate 2D sector weather coverage, 3D weather avoidance altitude field coverage, and flow blockage to sector capacity reduction individually.
