This paper presents an approach that addresses the limitations of current practices on aviation demand. As opposed to segment and airport enplanement metrics used in many studies, a “true” origin-destination demand is a focal point in this research and the result reveals the intrinsic nature of the relationships between the socio-economic attributes and true demands.
