This paper focuses on requirements, processing algorithms and flight tests for sensor systems aimed at endowing UAVs with Sense&Avoid capabilities. The analysis is carried out on the basis of simulated and real data from the sensors, and pointing out the strong relations with the guidance, navigation and control system.
