The demands for more efficient turbofan engines require them to have higher by-pass ratios. This leads to that the intermediate ducts connecting the high-pressure and low-pressure turbines needs to have a more aggressive design. This paper deals with flow measurements in a state-of-the-art intermediate turbine duct at off-design conditions.
