Facing an annual growth of 5% for the next 20 years and the international hubs reaching their capacity limit, an ESTOL aircraft can possibly meet future requirements. This paper demonstrates the benefits of an ESTOL short to medium range aircraft compared to aircrafts like the ERJ-145 from Embraer.
