This article presents a modificaion on the characteristic-based interface conditions, especially suited to computational aeroacoustics, for the use with a finite-difference compact scheme. Modified wave number analysis shows that the proposed implementation avoids anti-diffusion in large wavenumbers. The validity of current development is demonstrated through a CAA application problem.
