Keywords: multiple control surfaces, flying-wing configuration, optimization

The minimization of drag in cruise for an aircraft configuration with multiple control surfaces is addressed by eight distinct control strategies. This leads to a reduction of cruise drag in the trimmed configuration relative to the baseline untrimmed configuration, while keeping small angle-of-attack and control surface deflections.
