This paper presents a description of a large transport aircraft simulation benchmark for the evaluation of fault tolerant flight control systems (FTFC). The potential of the developed FTFC methods has been demonstrated in a piloted assessment in the SIMONA research flight simulator of the Delft Univ. of Technology.
