This paper investigates solutions for the thermal management of electromechanical actuator systems used for primary flight controls on a future all-electric aircraft. Proposed solutions are reviewed and their relative merits assessed. The particular application used as a case study here is a hypothetical 150 passenger all-electric transport aircraft.
