TRANSVERSAL INJECTED SYNTHETIC JETS FOR WALL TURBULENCE CONTROL

The interaction between synthetic jets and a channel flow has been investigated. An array of round synthetic jets has been mounted tangentially to the upper wall and perpendicularly to the main flow. The study shows skin friction reduction in spanwise and streamwise directions.
