EFFECTS OF SUSPENSION WEIGHT ON FIGHTER FATIGUE DAMAGE

Variation of suspension weights is investigated through surveying actual Flight Parameter Recorder data. Results showed that the actual fatigue damages were about 20% lighter than the design assumption. It is important to calculate fatigue damage based on actual suspension weight for each flight in order to accumulate fatigue damage correctly.
