The NASA X-43A program gave a vitalisation to the soon 50 year old scramjet principle. The technology for hypersonic ramjets is still in a rudimentary development stage. Performance calculations of scramjets are difficult to establish. This is an attempt to demonstrate the feasibilty of the scramjet based on first principles.
