Globally, our transportation systems face increasingly discomforting realities: certain of the legacy air and ground infrastructures of the 20th century will not satisfy our 21st century mobility needs. This lecture proposes a structured way of thinking about transformation from the legacy systems of the 20th century toward new systems for the 21st century.
