A NEW POSITIONING/NAVIGATION SYSTEM BASED ON PSEUDOLITES INSTALLED ON HIGH ALTITUDE PLATFORMS SYSTEMS (HAPS)

A new positioning service using pseudolites on the HAPS is proposed. To establish the fundamental technologies, the flight experiments were conducted where a pseudolite was installed underneath a helicopter. Also, six ground GPS/Pseudolite receivers were used for providing the ephemeris. The results demonstrate the efficacy of integrating pseudolite with GPS.
