In this study, non-linear iterative eigen-frequency analysis and modal-strain-energy-based damping characterization have been established for free vibration problems of composite laminated beams and plates with delaminations by using multilayered isoparametric plate/shell finite elements. Several numerical examples were also conducted to show the validity of the present FE.
