A self-excited rolling oscillation of a delta, which is known as a wing rock, is simulated by incorporating a time-accurate CFD with an equation of motion of the wing. A limit cycle oscillation and the hysteresis in the roll-angle vs. rolling-moment plane are successfully reproduced in the simulation.
