In order to understand the physical nature of noise generation mechanisms, and their propagation paths in the Allied Aerospace North American 7 Ft Trisonic Wind Tunnel, static pressure fluctuations have been investigated in both porous and solid test sections. Measurements were performed in the Mach number range of 0.6 to 3.0.
