Technical Research and Development Institute of Japan Defense Agency has been studying Self-Repairing Flight Control System, which is expected to improve flight safety and mission survivability by maintaining the same flying qualities in a damaged condition as those in the normal condition. Wind-tunnel free-flight dynamic tests were conducted to verify the performance of the prototype.
