FEM ANALYSIS OF INTERNAL STRESS SUPERPLASTICITY IN AL/SICW COMPOSITE WITH DIFFERENT VF SUBJECTED TO THERMAL CYCLING

In the present study it is tried to highlight the difficulties involved with the FEM modeling of superplasticity in Metal Matrix Composites. The results of this simulation work are very promising and have shown a reasonable agreement with the experimental results available on the Internal Stress Superplasticity (ISS) tests and strain-rate-sensitivity data.
