A NOVEL FACILITY FOR TESTING AT LOW REYNOLDS NUMBER

A pilot facility based on a novel concept for very low Reynolds number testing is described. By using a high viscosity test medium it overcomes the problems encountered in conventional facilities operating in that flow regime namely, poor flow diagnostics spatial resolution and difficulty in accurately measuring aerodynamic loads.
