Keywords: hypersonic rarefied-gas flows, jets, aerodynamic coefficients

Kinetic and rotational nonequilibrium quantum processes in underexpanded hypersonic viscous jets of helium, argon, nitrogen, and carbonic acid are analyzed by asymptotic and numerical methods. Fundamental laws for the aerodynamic characteristics of simple-shape bodies and similarity parameters in the transitional rarefied-gas flow regime are revealed.
