AERODYNAMIC OPTIMIZATION OF NEAR-SONIC PLANE BASED ON NEXST-1 SST MODEL

In this paper, aerodynamic shape optimizations of an airplane flying at near-sonic velocity are discussed based on CFD and the Genetic Algorithm. The section airfoil shape and the wing planform shape were optimized separately. The optimized results showed the promising improvement in L/D for the near-sonic airplane.
