AIRCRAFT CONTROL USING THE ENGINES (JET PROPULSION SYSTEMS)

Keywords: aircraft control, jet engine, pitch angle, sliding, banking, thrust

The paper presents the possibility of aircraft control using its engines (propulsion systems), when the flight commands are inactive (or damaged). An automatic system can be imagined and realized, which can assure the aircraft (airplane) control; the stick and the rudder bar are no more the input signal sources for the aerodynamic surfaces (elevator, ailerons, rudder), but realize a complex input signal for the engines’ regulators (controllers), using a signal forming block (BFS) and an on-board computer.
