This study formulates and solves a Multidisciplinary Design Optimization (MDO) problem of a single-stage-to-orbit (SSTO) space plane considering the trim and the stability. Trajectory and design of the vehicle optimized by MDO techniques are presented, and their relationships with the trim and the stability are investigated.
