RESIDUAL STRENGTH ANALYSIS OF STIFFENED PANELS USING R-CURVES OF SKIN MATERIAL

This paper presents a method of the residual strength analysis of stiffened structures with a two-bay crack in the skin under a broken stiffening element. This method takes into account the stable crack growth in the skin by means of R–curve of the skin material. The analyses of the residual strength of riveted and integrally stiffened wing and fuselage panels were carried out using this method developed.
