ACTIVE SEPARATION CONTROL ON A HIGH-LIFT CONFIGURATION BY A PERIODICALLY PULSATING JET

Experimental investigations were carried out with the aim to enhance the lift of a two dimensional generic high-lift model by periodic excitation. The actuator mechanism enables the control of the separated flow in terms of lift gain an drag reduction resulting in a lift/drag ratio enhancement of 20-25%.
