The methodology in this study aims to achieve integration of the survivability assessment with the other design disciplines into the early stage of combat aircraft design for operational effectiveness. Reliability block diagrams have been chosen for developing the flight phase probability throughout the mission simulation, and the genetic algorithm optimisation method has been used.
