The present paper details the results of a CFD study of several axisymmetric Rocket Based Combined Cycle engine ejector flow field configurations. For a constant area ejector, compression ratios as high as 2.5 can be obtained using a combination of an annular and central rocket. This compression ratio can be increased 23% through a 25% constriction in the exit area over the entire length of the ejector, and a further 5-7% when a combination conical / cylindrical configuration is used.
