Wind tunnel testing in low speed of a swept wing-strake configuration revealed local losses of lift at high angles of attack. Navier-Stokes analysis confirmed local disturbances. Re-design was initiated and several modifications were tried. Outboard wing leading edge alterations and changed twist smoothed the lift and reduced the drag successfully.
