NOTE: Authors of poster papers will in August receive a note via E-mail from the Secretariat with some detailed instructions about equipment and procedures in Nice. This information can also be downloaded (here).
General
The poster papers will be presented in the Poster Session Area and should be manned during coffee breaks Tuesday + Wednesday. You will have the opportunity to promote your poster at the end the session before Tuesday lunch. Each author will get max. 5 min (2 viewgraphs) to promote his/her poster.
Posters presented can be either those listed as Posters (Cat. C) in the ICAS 2010 Final Programme or those listed as Standby papers (Cat. B) that also have chosen the option to present the paper as a poster. Most poster papers will also appear in the congress CD-Rom proceedings.
All materials must be prepared prior to ICAS 2010. Posters can be attached from Sunday September 19. All necessary materials to attach the posters will be provided on site.
Additional Advices and Specifications:
» Poster size: maximum A0 (84 x 118,8 cm) in PORTRAIT orientation. NOTE: SPECIAL SIZE FOR ICAS 2010 (95 x 95 cm). THIS MEANS THAT FOUR A3 FORMAT PAPERS WILL FIT. MORE DETAILS FOR ICAS 2010 WILL BE PROVIDED IN EARLY AUGUST
» A poster must be readable from about 2 meters (use preferably a Bold font, 18-32 pt).
» Prepare a label for the top of your poster indicating the title, the author(s) and their affiliation(s).
» The poster should include
abstract
introduction, problematic, objective
methods
results
discussion
conclusion
» Captions should be brief. Avoid unnecessary detail in figures, drawings and charts.
» Number and title sections. Use simple fonts for both titles and text. Limit the use of capitals, lower case letters are easier to read. Emphasize by using Bold or Italic styles, but not the underline. Present the text in paragraphs.
» Left-aligned text is generally the best for reading. Justified text (straight right margin) should be avoided.
» Your poster should be self-explanatory so that you are free to supplement and discuss various points raised by other congress participants.
» Have copies of your complete paper ready to hand out to interested persons (especially important if your paper is not included in the ICAS 2010 CD Rom proceedings). |
