Keywords: gas turbine, combustion dynamics, life, crack, xfem

The study deals with crack initiation and propagation prediction in test specimens. The investigated specimens includes a cooling hole, which scales up stress concentration location due to limitcycle oscillations in gas turbine combustion liners. Extended finite element method (XFEM) based LEFM approach has been used in fracture mechanics analysis.
