Keywords: laminar-turbulent transition, boundary layer

Receptivity theory describing generation of boundary layer disturbances by free-stream turbulence accounting for final radius of leading edge was developed. Basic findings of this theory – enhanced receptivity of blunt-nosed-plate boundary layer and final amplification coefficient of perturbations in sharp-nosed-plate boundary layer – were verified experimentally.
