NUMERICAL MODELING OF FLOW IN GASDYNAMIC RESONATOR AND MODEL VALIDATION BY RESULTS OF PULSE ENGINE TESTS

It is possible to improve the aeroengine performance via implementation of periodic heat-supply-at-constant-volume cycle. We present results of simulation of high-frequency oscillations in a gasdynamic resonator that is periodically filled with a specially prepared air-fuel mixture. Obtained numerical results are in good agreement with experiential data for demonstrator pulse engine.
