Due to the simplifications in the modeling of helicopter dynamics, the unmodeled dynamics raises an non-negligible issue in control design process. The mu synthesis control theory takes the unmodeled dynamics as the structured uncertainty model and can yield an excellent robust performance in the present of uncertain system dynamics.
