MEASURING AND MODELLING THE LONGITUDINAL MOTION OF PARAGLIDERS

This paper a 2D physical model and a measuring system are introduced, developed for investigation of the powered paraglider longitudinal motion. The first results coming from experimental flight show that some kind of pendulum-like motion is superimposed to the longitudinal motion, whose time of period is about 5 seconds.
