In the paper the cumulative probability of coincidence is calculated for comparison with the ICAO TLS, for four typical cruise flight conditions: (i/ii) lateral separation in uncontrolled and controlled airspace; (iii/iv) standard altitude separation used worldwide and RVSM introduced by Eurocontrol to increase capacity at higher flight levels.
