This paper presents a concept of cooperation between Arrival Managers (AMANs) and Departure Managers (DMANs) and demonstrates the benefits of such cooperation through the implementation of a delay-on-ground concept for the reduction of fuel burn and airborne holding times. Oslo-Gardermoen airport was chosen as the typical case study arrival airport.
