A dual-PZT actuation scheme is applied to generate the fundamental symmetric Lamb wave mode, on quasi-isotropic CF-EP laminate plate. Then a wavelet-based signal processing SHM technique is developed to detect through-thickness crack of different sizes/angels and the response signals are processed to extract damage-sensitive features from the original signals.
