Alternative fuels are a promising technology innovation to secure future energy supply, combating oil price volatilities and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from aircraft engines. In this study the impact of alternative fuels on engine performance, fuel consumption and emissions is analysed both on engine and flight mission levels.
