Morphing wing structure concepts using pressure driven compliant cells have been proposed. Topology optimisation via the MIST method was used to design the cells. Different architectures are presented for bending and extension-type morphing. This type of system seeks to provide both morphing and stiffness functions through structure and pressure combinations.
