Lighter-weight and higher stiffness/strength honeycomb sandwich panels having advanced composite faces and honeycomb cores were introduced as the main structural elements for satellite structural frame applications. 3-dimensional modeling on satellites with different structural frames including satellite mission/bus equipment contents was executed to improve the satellites’ dynamic-rigidity/weight performances.
