Quasi-static and cyclic mixed mode delamination failure in multidirectional composite laminates emphasizing the effect of fiber orientation and stacking sequence is addressed here using finite element simulations incorporating a cohesive zone approach, analytical calculations combining the classical laminated plate theory with virtual crack closure technique, and fracture experiments.
