High fidelity CFD and experimental testing is performed to validate low fidelity optimisation studies into the vortex-induced drag reductions achieved with the MORPHLET active morphing wing. By comparing with a fixed wing aircraft model, the effectiveness of wing morphing to preserve induced drag savings across each flight phase is demonstrated.
