LOAD SYNTHESIS OF HELICOPTER DYNAMIC COMPONENTS: IMPROVEMENTS TO LINEAR REGRESSION IN THE AZIMUTH DOMAIN

This paper reports improvements to the accuracy and practicality of linear regression for synthesising helicopter dynamic component loads. Improvements were made by using both strain measurements and flight parameters as predictor variables, and allowing concurrent regression at multiple azimuth locations. Their effectiveness is demonstrated using level flight strain survey data.
