STABILIZING EFFECT OF LONGITUDINAL-WALL OSCILLATION ON 2D CHANNEL FLOW

Effect of longitudinal wall-oscillation on 2D channel flow is studied by Floquet stability analysis. Velocity profiles are obtained superimposition of the plane Pioseuill flow and the Stokes layer because of linearity of government equation. Depending on frequency and amplitude of wall-oscillation, stable region exists in parameter space despite supercritical condition.
